Installation Mechanic/Crew Leader

Installation Mechanic/Crew Leader Job Description:

A Sheet Metal Mechanic will be responsible for assembling, installing and repairing all forms of ductwork and equipment associated with the complete HVAC job, used in homes, schools, and commercial buildings.

  1. Obtain and maintain through continuing education the required certifications and licenses
  2. Comply with all applicable standards, policies, and procedures, including safety procedures and the maintenance of a clean work area
  3. Coordinate project schedule and estimated man days to assure project is being completed in a timely manner. Including the final inspection and testing where & when appropriate.
  4. Study the building/project plans, specifications and working drawings to determine work aids required and sequence of installations
  5. Verify that materials and methods comply with specifications and review material and equipment prior to installation for accuracy
  6. Locate and mark position of pipe and/or duct connections and passage holes in walls and floors and then cut openings to accommodate pipe and/or duct fittings, using hand tools and power tools
  7. Work with power tools to measure, cut, assemble and install ductwork, insulation, refrigerant lines, equipment, registers and grilles, flues, piping and associated pumps and gauges
  8. Wrap pipes with insulation and secure as required
  9. Install, connect and adjust thermostats, humidistats and timers using hand tools
  10. Test pipe or tubing joints and connections for leaks
  11. Maintain a professional appearance and keep the installation vehicle in order and well stocked
  12. Attend all necessary job meetings and stay abreast of all issues that are discussed
  13. Assure that each project is completed including punch lists, contract requirements, and final inspections along with discussion with client on the use of equipment
  14. Record and report all faults and deficiencies, with work or allotted labor hours
  15. Responsible for establishing new client relationships and creating an experience that keeps the client coming back in the future
  16. Maintain a positive attitude in which fosters good will and future work with our customers and our subcontractors
  17. Complete the job folder and turn in for billing

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

  • Well groomed, neat appearance
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
  • Valid social security number
  • Lift up to 50 pounds; be able to push, pull, carry or maneuver heavier items (with additional manpower or appropriate devices); carry ladders; work from heights, work in small spaces.
  • Observe all company procedures and maintain safety rules at all times
  • Maintain accurate time records and send to payroll when required
  • Work as part of our team to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Perform any and all related job tasks as directed by the management of this company.

Sales Admin

Our heating and air conditioning contracting firm is in immediate need of a qualified Sales Support Coordinator. We’re looking for a highly organized and efficient professional who can wear multiple hats throughout the workday while prioritizing the most important tasks on his or her list. We have Residential and Commercial sales teams specializing in new installations, retrofit, service and maintenance for clients in Massachusetts and New Hampshire. Previous sales support experience is not required, and we offer an in-house training program for young professionals. However, prior administrative or clerical experience will be enormously helpful in ensuring your success in this position.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Compile daily lists of leads and delegate individual leads to sales team associates
  • Maintain an organized and accessible file system for administrative and sales professionals
  • Providing sales and administrative support to Sales personnel
  • Assist with the coordination of Marketing activities.
  • Handle all administrative duties for the organization and scheduling of client and staff meetings
  • Follow up with clients on the telephone for administrative purposes
  • Provide administrative assistance to executives and management team members as required
  • Perform data entry duties with regard to sales figures, metrics and other key data

Qualifications and skills:

  • A positive, sales oriented attitude; comfortable contacting and supporting customers by phone and email
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Experienced with Microsoft Office Suite, including Microsoft CRM or other similar Customer Relational Management application
  • Detail oriented, able to multi-task and follow through with a “hands on”, “can do” and “Jack of all trades” positive attitude.
  • An associate degree or equivalent experience is preferred.
  • Able to work in a collaborative, team oriented environment.
